''United Nations'' is the self-titled debut from supergroup United Nations. The band features members from numerous prolific bands, including Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw and Head Automatica, and Geoff Rickly of Thursday. Due to the contractual obligations of other members, the official lineup of the band is not known. The album received a limited edition CD release that was only available through the Eyeball Records webstore. Only 1,000 copies were sold.〔(Eyeball Records product page for United Nations' self-titled debut. ) Retrieved September 2, 2008.〕 The album will not be released in stores because of copyright issues with the cover image, which is essentially the same image used for The Beatles' ''Abbey Road'', but with The Beatles engulfed in flames.〔("Thursday Frontman's United Nations Side Project Might Not Make It To Stores." ) MTV.com. September 5, 2008.〕 The album was also released on vinyl. Pressing was limited to 1,000 copies on red vinyl.〔(United Nations vinyl pre-order page. Eyeball Records store. Retrieved October 14, 2008. )〕 In 2015, Rickley's label Collect Records reissued ''United Nations'' on vinyl with updated packaging that parodied The Beatles' 1968 self-titled album. The hidden track is 12:59 of silence, followed by the sound of a cash register. Also, the song "Subliminal Testing" can be played backwards to reveal other lyrics that simply tell the listener to turn the song back around. == Track listing == # "The Spinning Heart of the Yo-Yo Lobby" – 0:57 # "Resolution #9" – 2:30 # "No Sympathy for a Sinking Ship" – 2:06 # "The Shape of Punk that Never Came" – 2:36 # "My Cold War" – 1:49 # "Model UN" – 1:08 # "Filmed in Front of a Live Studio Audience" – 3:40 # "Revolutions in Graphic Design" – 2:04 # "I Keep Living the Same Day" – 1:00 # "Subliminal Testing" – 2:14 # "Say Goodbye to General Figment of the USS Imagination" – 5:10 # (untitled bonus track) – 13:00 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「United Nations (United Nations album)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
